PURPOSE:To mold a decorative molded product of constant quality having a variable density pattern on its decorative surface with good productivity by a simple process without increasing the number of processes. CONSTITUTION:A rear surface mold 2 having unevenness formed on the molding surface thereof is used not only to apply a thickness change to a base material 3 corresponding to the unevenness but also to form unevenness on the decorative surface of the base material 3. A concealable material changing in hiding power corresponding to thickness is applied to the uneven surface of the base material 3 as a coating material to form the coating layer composed of the concealable material on the decorative surface of the base material. A variable density pattern is imparted to the decorative surface by the thickness change of the coating layer 4.
