<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of preventing an inappropriate density correction from being performed based on an abnormal measured result. <P>SOLUTION: A personal computer makes a printer execute the measurement of a density patch (S103), and receives the measured value of the density patch from the printer (S104). Then, whether or not the received measured value is within an allowable range is decided (S106, S107), and the execution of density correction (S113) based on the density decided as being out of the allowable range is inhibited (S106:NO, S107, NO).
