The present invention is to suppress an increase of current consumption and chip size. A battery protective integrated circuit controls, when at least one of overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent with respect to a secondary battery, charge and discharge of the secondary battery, to protect the secondary battery. The battery protective integrated circuit comprises a memory unit which memorizes both of characteristic setting data for setting circuit characteristics of the battery protective integrated circuit and characteristic adjustment data for adjusting individual difference for the circuit characteristics of the battery protective integrated circuit, wherein the memory unit includes a pair of nonvolatile memory cells complementarily memorizing one bit, and sets of volatile memory circuits connected to the outputs of the pair of memory cells by cross-couple, as much as the number of bit numbers of both data, and the memory circuit statically outputs data stored in the memory cells as much as both data in accordance with the start-up of power of the battery protective integrated circuit. |
