In the inventive rotary internal combustion engine, which comprises disc and ring structural units arranged in a body (1) in a mutually rotatable manner, each combustion chamber (10) located in a disc (6) is embraced on two side thereof by spring-loaded compression and conversion blades which are placed in the grooves of the disc (6). Arresters (22) mounted in the body (1) fix the conversion blades in the specified position along the entire length of the compression chambers and leave the compression blades, which compress an air-and-fuel mixture in the respective combustion chambers while moving in a given direction, free. In the following conversion chambers disposed in a strike direction along the entire length thereof, the arresters (22) fix the compression blades and leave the compression blades, which are exposed to the pressure of the ignited air-and-fuel mixture, free, thereby converting the power of the ignited air-and-fuel mixture into mechanical rotation energy on the shaft (5) of the rotary internal combustion engine. The shape of the combustion chambers of the engine is optimised. The reciprocating motion of the blades is carried out by means of a part of working gases of the air-and-fuel mixture. |
