发明名称 Reconfigurable stent-graft delivery system and method of use
摘要 A reconfigurable delivery system is disclosed having a multi-lumen delivery catheter configuration that permits the delivery and staged release of a self-expanding main vessel stent-graft and a delivery sheath configuration that permits the introduction of various medical devices for the delivery and implantation of various branch vessel stent-grafts that are to be mated with the main vessel stent-graft. A method is disclosed wherein the delivery system is first used in the multi-lumen delivery catheter configuration to deliver and release a main vessel stent-graft that is configured for placement in the abdominal aorta for treatment of short-neck infrarenal, juxtarenal, and/or suprarenal aneurysms and then used in the delivery sheath configuration to facilitate the delivery of branch vessel stent-grafts that are configured to extend from the main vessel stent-graft into a respective renal artery.

主权项 1. A method of delivering multiple stent-grafts that mate together to form an implant for treating an aneurysm in a main vessel that occurs proximate to or includes branch vessels therefrom, the method comprising: advancing a reconfigurable delivery catheter to the aneurysm within the main vessel, wherein the delivery catheter includes a tubular sheath component, a tip capture mechanism being configured to mate with a distal end of the sheath component, and a removable middle member component having a middle member shaft that extends within a lumen defined by the sheath component to divide a proximal portion of the lumen into a plurality of working lumens such that the delivery catheter is in a multi-lumen delivery catheter configuration, wherein in the multi-lumen delivery catheter configuration and during the step of advancing a main stent-graft is compressed within a distal portion of the lumen of the sheath component of the delivery catheter to be longitudinally disposed between a distal end of the middle member shaft and a proximal end of the tip capture mechanism; withdrawing the sheath component of the delivery catheter to release a first portion of the main stent-graft that is proximal of first and second branch graft couplings of the main stent-graft; cannulating a first branch vessel and aligning a vessel lumen cut-out within a proximal end of the main stent-graft with the first branch vessel; withdrawing the sheath component of the delivery catheter to release a second portion of the main stent-graft that includes the first and second branch graft couplings of the main stent-graft such that at least first and second distal leg portions of the main stent-graft remain compressed within the sheath component; cannulating second and third branch vessels and aligning each of the first and second branch graft couplings with a corresponding second and third branch vessel; withdrawing the sheath component of the delivery catheter to release the first and second distal leg portions of the main stent-graft; and removing the middle member shaft to reconfigure the delivery catheter into a delivery sheath configuration such that the lumen of the proximal portion of the sheath component is no longer divided into the plurality of working lumens.
