PURPOSE:To provide method in which a colorant is used to produce a colored porous polytetrafluoroethylene object inhibited from suffering colorant bleeding without impairing the porosity and material properties of the porous object. CONSTITUTION:A porous polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) object having a finely porous structure consisting of fibers and nodes connected with one another by the fibers is coated with a solution obtained by dissolving or dispersing a colorant and PTFE particles in a solvent. At least the coated part is heated to or above the melting point of the PTFE to obtain the desired object. |
