PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact tourbillon mechanism for a timepiece movement.SOLUTION: A tourbillon mechanism for a timepiece movement includes a balance mechanism 2, an escapement mechanism 3, and a carriage 12 mounted on a structure of the timepiece movement in rotation about a tourbillon axis (Z). The balance mechanism 2 includes a spring 14 and a balance wheel 16 mounted on the carriage 12 to pivot about the tourbillon axis (Z). The escapement mechanism 3 includes an escape wheel 5 with teeth 9, and a pallet-lever 7 including pallet-stones configured to engage the teeth, the pallet-lever 7 being mounted on the carriage 12 and coupled rotatably to the carriage 12 by a pivot device. The escape wheel 5 encircles the tourbillon axis (Z) and is attached to or integral with the structure of the timepiece movement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
