PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass having desired high stability and high dispersion (a low Abbe number), an optical element and a method for manufacturing a glass molded body.SOLUTION: The optical glass comprises, with respect to the whole amount of glass substances in a composition in terms of oxides and on a mol% basis, a POcomponent by 20% or more and 45% or less, a NbOcomponent by 15% or more and 60% or less, and a ZnO component and a MgO component in total by 5% or more and 50% or less; and the optical glass has a refractive index of 1.75 or more and an Abbe number of 10 or more and 35 or less. The optical glass preferably contains, on a mol% basis, one of or two of a SiOcomponent and an AlOcomponent in total by 0.1% or more and 20% or less. |
