<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the forgetfulness of turning on and off the power source of the printer device by enabling ON/OFF control over the power source of the printer device from a host computer. CONSTITUTION:The host computer 2 is equipped with a CRT 1 and connected to a signal monitor circuit 5 through an interface cable 3. This signal monitor circuit 5 is connected to a power-ON/OFF circuit 6, which is connected to an interface 7 and a power cable 11. A main controller 9 is connected to the interface 7, a RAM 8, and a print controller 10. The ON/OFF control over the power source of the printer device 4 is therefore performed from the host computer 2. Consequently, the ON/OFF control over the power source of the printer device 4 can be performed by application software on the host computer 2, so the forgetfulness of turning on and off the power source of the printer device 4 is eliminated.</p> |
