PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting allowable seismic-response controlled structure which alleviates earthquake force applied to a building while allowing lifting of the building when an earthquake occurs. SOLUTION: According to the lifting allowable seismic-response controlled structure, upper beds of piles of the building are edge-cut from columns and a lower bed of a footing beam or the like, and either the upper beds of the piles, or the columns and the lower bed of the footing beam or the like have respective recesses formed therein, while the others of the upper beds of the piles, or the columns and the lower bed of the footing beam or the like have projections protruding therefrom, followed by fitting the recesses to the projections to each other, to thereby construct the building. The recess and the projection have their horizontal surfaces make face contact with each other, and mutually facing vertical surfaces of the projection make face contact with vertical surfaces of the recess adjacent to the projection.
