PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a scanning electrode driving IC, to make the external form of glass symmetrical with respect to the center of a display picture, and to simplify an FPC in a liquid crystal panel for a portable telephone. SOLUTION: Scanning electrode driving ICs 26 and 27, an oscillatory power source IC 25, and a signal electrode driving IC 22 are mounted as an array along one side of an upper glass 21. Control signal wiring 213 of the scanning electrode driving IC 27, which has the level shifted by the oscillatory power source driving IC 25 crosses the mounting part of the signal electrode driving IC 22.
