<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications system capable of promptly dealing with the failure of relay nodes. <P>SOLUTION: An operation state monitoring unit 18 manages the operating state of a relay node to be monitored, and a communication continuity presence/absence determining unit 19 determines whether the continuation of communication is available, if a session through the relay node to be monitored detours a relay node with failure. A communication continuity presence/absence determining data-receiving unit 20 receives the data for determining whether the continuation of communication is available, if a session through the relay node to be monitored detours a relay node with failure. A communication continuity presence/absence determining data transmitting unit 21 transmits the data for determining whether the continuation of communication is available, if a session through the relay node to be monitored detours a relay node with failure.
