摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating heat for soot removal and reducing NHslip in an exhaust system.SOLUTION: In a method for generating heat for soot removal and reducing NHslip, an HC-enriched gas flow is generated by injecting HC after injecting a reductant into an exhaust stream having NOx and reducing the NOx under the existence of an SCR catalyst and is brought into contact with a combination catalyst 700 including (a) a first layer 702 containing an oxidization catalyst where an effective PGM amount generating sufficient heat for soot regeneration by the oxidization of hydrocarbons is larger than about 10 g/ftand (b) a second layer 703 containing the SCR catalyst being adjacent to the first layer 702 and selectively reducing the NOx.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
