PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved dispersion stability and low shrinkage during curing, comprising a block copolymer mixture of vinyl acetate and styrene using a polymeric peroxide as a polymerization initiator, a vinyl ester, and a copolymerizable monomer. CONSTITUTION:(A) 10-90wt% vinyl acetate monomer is polymerized with 90- 10wt% styrene monomer in the presence of a polymeric peroxide shown by the formula I [R is 10-30C hydrocarbon, group shown by the formula II (R1 is 1- 18C alkylene, phenylene, etc.; R2 is 2-10C alkylene, group shown by the formula III, etc.), etc.; n is 2-20] in such a way that one of them is polymerized first, and then copolymerized with the other, to give a block copolymer mixture. (B) 100pts.wt. total amount of a vinyl ester obtained by reacting a polyepoxy compound such as novolak polyepoxy compound, etc. with an unsaturated monobasic acid such as methacrylic acid, etc. and a copolymerizable monomer such as styrene, etc. is blended with 0.5-25pts.wt. component A. |
