Preamble structure

The application attempts to claim a data structure including preamble/header and payload sections, wherein the preamble includes synchronisation sequences at the start and/or end. Preferably the synch sequences are frequency offset from the remaining data. Preferably the choice of synch sequence and/or frequency offset encodes some data. Preferably the synch sequences are cyclic prefixes or known pseudo-random noise sequences or Zadoff-Chu sequences. Preferably there are synch sequences at both the start and end of the signalling preamble and the number of preamble symbols and/or guard period duration are calculated from the timing of the two sequences. Preferably the synch sequences comprise repeating patterns.
