<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly display an image by using a small capacity of memory. <P>SOLUTION: When a display area for the whole image is changed, in terms of an overlap area, overlapping the pre-change display area, among post-change display areas, an image for display is used by being extracted from the present images for display in a VRAM 42, and in terms of nonoverlap area unoverlapping the pre-change display area, an image for display is used by being extracted from resized images prestored in an SDRAM 36, so that the image for display, corresponding to the post-change display area, can be generated. the image for display, corresponding to the post-change display area, can be generated and displayed at a relatively high speed by enabling higher-speed access to the VRAM 42 and SDRAM 36 than to, for example, an external memory wherein an original image is stored. Consequently, the image can be properly displayed by using the small capacity of memory, and a higher-resolution image can be displayed while a decrease in processing speed is suppressed in the display of the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
