<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that displays video even during self detection and self repair of a driving circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A display 90 of a liquid crystal television 400 includes: a display panel 80; a source driver 10a that drives the display panel 80, and the source driver 10a has a comparing and determining circuit 50 for detecting a failure and a switching circuit 60 for repairing the failure; and a source driver 10b that drives the display panel 80, and the source driver 10b is different from the source driver 10a.
