<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin optical disk drive for a notebook computer corresponding to three types of media of a BD, a DVD, and a CD, and to provide an optical pickup mounted thereon. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup includes: a first collimate lens which converts an optical beam of a first laser light source to a nearly parallel light beam; a second collimate lens which converts an optical beam of a second laser light source to a nearly parallel light beam; a drive mechanism for driving the second collimate lens; a first objective lens which condenses the optical beam transmitted through the first collimate lens; and a second objective lens which condenses the optical beam transmitted through the second collimate lens. The first and second objective lenses are arranged in the radial direction of an optical disk, the second objective lens being arranged closer to the outer circumferential direction side of the optical disk than the first objective lens. The direction in which the incident light beam of the second collimate lens travels is inclined by a predetermined angle with respect to the direction in which the incident light beam of the first collimate lens travels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
