<p>The present invention relates to a transmission, and more particularly, to a walking mechanism for bionics devices. It consists of a torso and a gear unit, characterized by that a primary gear is fixed in the torso; two secondary gears engage the primary gear on both sides of the latter; a ratchet is secured on the primary gear; a lever operatively connected to the shaft of the primary gear extends from the torso; a pawl which engages the ratchet is fixed on the lever; and that walking elements having 180 degrees out-of-phase for two front legs are arranged on one of the two secondary gears, and walking elements having 180 degrees out-of-phase for two rear legs are arranged on the other secondary gear, there being 90 degrees out-of-phase between the front and rear walking elements. The present invention has the advantages of simple construction, high efficiency of transforming power to driving force, high speed and well passing characteristic, as well as economical cost.</p> |
