<p>A flat knitting machine is used to connect the side ends of adjacently-arranged, tubularly-knit knitted fabrics (3, 5) so as not to make holes at linking portions between knit wears such as the sides of a sweater and the thigh of shorts, a double knitting is carried out by feeding thread to a needle for anchoring a stitch on a side one stitch backward from a process progressing direction so as to increase a tensile strength while a process progresses from one tubular knitted fabric (3) toward the other fabric (5) to link the both fabrics together, and then the thread-feeding is shifted to a needle for anchoring a stitch on a side two stitches forward in a process progressing direction so as to allow the needle to carry out a similar double knitting, the above knitting processes being repeated.</p> |
