<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid immersion lens of which the utilization efficiency from a lens material body is high and easy in machining process and machining work a, and its manufacturing method, and also to provide a condensing lens utilizing this immersion lens, an optical pickup device and an optical recording/reproducing device. <P>SOLUTION: The constitution of the lens includes at least a spherical surface 45, a truncated pyramid section 44 and an objective surface 46.
