Provided is a dental implant which can be applied to molar teeth, and which additionally can minimize bone resorption, due a mucous membrane joining portion having a shape that conforms to the gum. The dental implant (10) is designed for at least partial implantation into a section of alveolar bone where a tooth has been lost, and has a bone joining portion (20) constituting a region to be implanted into the alveolar bone and join to the alveolar bone, and a mucous membrane joining portion (30) furnished integrally to the bone joining portion, on the side that will constitute the side of bone joining portion facing towards the oral cavity interior, for joining to the gum. The mucous membrane joining portion has a recess (31) of gradually constricting outside diameter approaching the axial center part from either axial end, forming a shoulder (33) in the linked part of the bone joining portion and the mucous membrane joining portion. |
