Flow resistance characteristic measuring device

The measuring device uses one or more rotational bodies (1). Each rotational body contains a gas or fluid medium (4) in which a body (7) to be tested is suspended, to evaluate the resulting flow resistance characteristics. The rotation of the medium can be achieved using a rotating container, whose walls are coupled to acceleration of the medium by shear forces. The body or bodies surrounded by the medium are realisably fixed, so that a relative movement between them and the rotating medium is achieved. The movement of the rotating medium and the flow pressure acting on the body due to the rotation of the medium can be measured continuously or at desired times. The rotational body may be a vehicle tyre, which is filled with a given quantity of water, providing a parallel flow stream with the flow pressure acting on the test body detected by a lever (8) acting on a pressure sensor (9).
