The present invention relates to a system and a method for controlling the torque of a generator of a hybrid vehicle, and more specifically, to a system and a method for controlling the torque of a generator of a hybrid vehicle and preventing an explosion during impact from being transferred to a chassis when an initial explosion occurs during the drive of an engine. The system for controlling the torque of a generator of a hybrid vehicle comprises a hybrid control unit (HCU) controlling the torque of the generator when the engine is driven by the generator. The HCU comprises: a speed controller calculating the primary engine target torque for driving the engine; and a disturbance observing device calculating disturbance offset torque for removing a disturbance element included in the primary engine target torque. A value obtained by adding the primary engine target torque to the disturbance offset torque is converted to determine the generator target torque where the disturbance element is removed. |
