A bill deposit/withdrawal machine (10) is provided with: a separation/feeding unit (37) which feeds a bill (BL) put in a bill housing unit (32) to a conveyance unit (24); a collection unit (53) which collects bills (BL) to be delivered to users in the bill housing unit (32); a pool guide (36) which has a bill contact surface (54) that comes into contact with the bill (BL), and reciprocates between the separation/feeding unit (37) and the collection unit (53); and a bill press (34) which is disposed to face the pool guide (36), reciprocates between the separation/feeding unit (37) and the collection unit (53) on the side closer to the collection unit (53) than the pool guide (36), comes into contact with the bent bill (BL) while a portion in which cutout holes (68) forming recesses and protrusions are formed along a direction in which the bill (BL) spreads when retuning to an original shape is made away from the bill (BL), and sandwiches the put-in bill (BL) between the pool guide (36) and the bill press. Consequently, the reliability of a device can be improved. |
