The system has lists for entering method elements and fields for combining method elements and determining risk priority numbers. Lists and fields are stored in a computer system and interactively displayed and described. Fields are formed as matrices of elements resulting from combining method elements of row and column lists. Method elements are automatically sorted in lists, matrices are cross-linked and a risk priority number matrix produced. The system has lists (L1, L2,..) for entering different groups of method elements and fields (M, M1,..) for combining method elements and determining risk priority numbers. The lists and fields are stored in a computer system and interactively displayed and described, whereby the fields are formed as matrices whose elements result from combining the method elements of lists in the row and column direction. The method elements are automatically sorted in the lists, the matrices are cross-linked and a matrix of risk priority number is produced.
