摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display apparatus capable of realizing high contrast and wide driving margin by enhancing a reset function in a reset period. SOLUTION: A plurality of sub-frames are classified to first kind and second kind of the sub-frames. The last gradient voltage pulse (402) and a gradient voltage pulse (401) of reverse polarity are applied between the first and second electrodes before the last gradient voltage pulse in a reset period (TS) of the first kind of the sub-frame, and the last gradient voltage pulse and the gradient voltage pulse of the reverse polarity are not applied between the first and second electrodes in the reset period of the second kind of the sub-frame. The first kind of the sub-frames exist in a plurality in one frame and the attainment voltage of the gradient voltage pulse of the reverse polarity of at least one kind of the sub-frame among the plurality of the first kind of the sub-frames differs from the attainment voltage of the gradient voltage pulse of the reverse polarity of the other one kind of the sub-frames.
