The invention relates to methods for recording-reading visually hidden information and can be used for visualising hidden images (marks) which are used for identifying an object and for protecting it against unauthorised reproduction (counterfeit). The inventive method consists in pre-polishing the surface of the object of interest and in forming an optically hidden image on the polished surface by modifying at least one area of said surface, thereby modifying the surface energy of the modified areas and in simultaneously modifying the adhesion value thereof which, like a surface energy, depends on the degree of local unbalance of surface charges on the surface of interest. The inventive method also consists in visualising said mark image by forming a metastable medium in the zone of said surface of the object of interest and in obtaining, by means of said medium, the mark image in the form of different structures formed by the particles of the stable phase of the metastable medium on the areas having different surface energy. The inventive method is characterised in that the surface of interest which is provided with modified areas is electrified and cleaned by friction prior to carrying out a process for visualising an optically hidden mark image. |
