<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable copying of card information to an IC chip in a portable device with IC chip, even when the portable device is not provided with a reader for reading the card information from a card storage medium or a writer for writing information to the IC chip, while preventing unauthorized copy of the card information to IC chips of portable devices of others. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic transaction device is used for copying of the card information to the IC chip. Concretely, the automatic transaction device includes a means which receives an instruction of copy of the card information from a user; a means which reads the card information by use of a card reader of the automatic transaction device; a means which receives input of user authentication information related to the card information from the user; a determination means which determines whether the input user authentication information is valid or not; and a means which writes, when the input user authentication information is determined to be valid, the card information to the IC chip by use of an IC writer of the automatic transaction device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
