PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center pillar for a vehicle which may efficiently reinforce a portion, on which a load concentrates, during a lateral collision etc.SOLUTION: A center pillar 100 includes: a hinge reinforce 106 to which a door hinge is attached; an inner panel 108 forming a closed cross section with the hinge reinforce 106; and a reinforcement brace 120 connected to the vehicle inner side of the hinge reinforce 106 and having a hinge attachment part 122. The inner panel 108 has an inner lower end flange 132 which bends toward the hinge reinforce 106. The reinforcement brace 120 has: a brace upper end flange 134 which bends toward the vehicle inner side and is connected with the inner lower end flange 132; and a brace lower end part 136 extending downward. A length D1 from the hinge attachment part 122 to a tip 137 of the brace lower end part 136 is longer than a distance D2 from the hinge attachment part 122 to the brace upper end flange 134.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
