PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sliding nozzle plate having excellent thermal shock resistance. SOLUTION: In providing a sliding nozzle plate 1 using an electromelting alumina aggregate 2, the plate contains 3-40 wt.% of electromelting alumina- zirconia having 5-70 μm average particle diameter of alumina primary crystal and 5-45 wt.% zirconia content. In the case in which the average diameter of alumina precipitated as a primary crystal is 5-70 μm, since the alumina primary crystal is finely and complicatedly mixed with alumina-zirconia eutectic crystal parts, a great energy is required for dividing electromelting alumina- zirconia particles. |
