CONDENSING FILTER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condensing filter of a display device that does not drop the display visibility. SOLUTION: The condensing filter 16 has prisms 162-168 on the surface of a transparent flat surface 161 and condenses the light from the light source 11 by using the prisms 162-168. These prisms 162-168 are made straight linearly extending in the specific direction (the direction X) on the surface of a transparent flat substrate 161, and arranged in the specific direction (the direction of Y) perpendicularly intersecting. The direction of the light emitted from the prisms positioned at the center of the condensing filter 16 among the prisms 162-168 is nearly vertical to the surface of the transparent flat substrate 161. The direction of the light emitted from the prisms positioned at the edges of the condensing filter 16 among the prisms 162-168 is tilting to the center from the direction vertical to the surface of the transparent flat substrate 161.
