<p>A method for securely fitting a sound damping wall alongside a road, or alongside a fast railway track, has a concrete base strip (4) set into the ground and into which are set the upright support posts (2) for the wall. The wall panels are applied directly to the posts. For added lateral support the concrete strips are in set lengths with short right angle strips at the ends. The upright posts are secured into the concrete strips or are set through the concrete strips into sockets buried deeper in the ground. The concrete strip is steel reinforced.</p> |
