A motorcycle towing apparatus including a securing portion (2) for securing the front wheel (3) of a motorcycle (1) to the tow bar (12) of a towing vehicle. A clamping assembly (7) fastens the wheel (3) to the securing means (2). The securing means (2) can pivot relative to tow bar 12 in a substantially horizonta l plane. Ramp (21) acts both as a stabilising means secured via a fastening means (24) to foot steps (26) on either side of the motorcycle and also as a ramp to assist in loading and unloading motorcycle (1). Ramp (21) may be rotated towards securing assembly (2) so that the assembly is compact and may be easily transported when not in use (see figure 7).
