An organic light emitting diode having a notch filter is provided to increase color reproduction by blocking spectrum where red, green and blue colors overlap from the light spectrum emitted from the organic light emitting diode. An organic light emitting diode having a notch filter includes a substrate(100), a number of lower electrodes(111,113,115), a pixel separating layer(120), an organic thin layer(130), an upper electrode(140), a lower protecting layer(150), and a number of notch filters(163,165). The substrate(100) includes red, green and blue pixel areas. The substrate(100) is composed of a number of lower electrodes(111,113,115) extended to a first direction on the substrate(100). The pixel separating layer(120) is formed on the lower electrodes(111,113,115) and the substrate(100). The organic thin layer(130) is formed on the pixel separating layer(120) and the upper electrode(140) is formed on the organic thin layer(130). The lower protecting layer(150) is formed on the substrate(100) including the upper electrode(140). The notch filters(161,163,165) are formed on the lower protecting layer(150) and block a certain band of a spectrum where red, green and blue colors overlap each other. |
