PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup container that uses a paper cup for the cup container and allows an upper opening to be closed without using a lid body. SOLUTION: The cup container made of a paper board is constructed by assembling a cylindrical body formed by a sector-shaped blank and having a widened upper part, and a circular bottom plate. The cup container is configured so that a plurality of lid areas A circumferentially sectioned by vertical folding lines 1 in the vertical direction and transverse folding lines 2 are provided along an upper part of the body, and by folding these lid areas A inwardly, an upper part opening is closed so that a polygon is substantially formed where the vertical folding lines 1 serve as apexes and the transverse folding lines 2 serve as respective sides of the polygon. A lid body for closing the upper part opening is not required separately, and the upper part opening can be closed easily by folding the upper part of the body inwardly.
