PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unwanted radiation noise when reading image data from a document being fed in an image reader including a moving mechanism capable of moving one or more members to be moved included in an image reading part with a conductive wire.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises: an ADF 1 for feeding a document through a read position P0; an image reading part 2 for reading image data on the basis of reflection light in the case where the document passing the read position P0 is irradiated with light from a light source; and a moving mechanism 8 for moving a first unit 22 and a second unit 23 of the image reading part 2 with a conductive wire 9. In the state where the first unit 22 and the second unit 23 are moved to a feed read position where image data can be read from the document at the read position P0 by the image reading part 2, lengths of tension regions 91-97 of the conductive wire 9 are set not to become an integer multiple of 1/4 wavelength of a drive current of the light source. |
