PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for use with a polyaxial bone anchoring device.SOLUTION: Equipment comprises first members 10, 11 having first engaging portions 12a, 12b configured so as to engage a receiving portion 5 in a reliable fitting mode, and second members 20, 21 having a front end 20a and second engaging portions 22, 22a. The second engaging portions 22, 22a are configured so as to engage a clamp element 7 and apply a torque to the clamp element. In a first configuration, the second members 10, 11 can be displaced only in an axial direction to the first members 10, 11 along the longitudinal axis C.
