A chair for a chair lift is provided to prevent an occupant from being slid out of the chair lift between a seat and a crossbar by using a seat cushion and a backrest. A chair used for a chair lift comprises at least one seat having a seat cushion(1) and a backrest(2). A surface of the seat includes a rear end section(3), which is placed near the backrest(2), and a front end section(4), which is placed at a side opposite to the rear end section(3). The front end section(4) has a slip resistance greater than that of the rear end section(3). The surface of the seat has a slip resistance greater than that of the backrest(2). An area having a greater slip resistance extends over whole surface of the seat. The area having a greater slip resistance includes material, which has greater slip resistance than material included in the rear end section(3).
