PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating a mold release agent on the surface of a bladder in high adhesion with the mold release agent independently of the shape of the bladder surface. SOLUTION: This method for coating the mold release agent on the surface of a bladder 1, which is inserted into the inside of a green tire and used at the time of vulcanizing and shaping the green tire, comprises the followings. The surface of the bladder 1 is subjected to a plasma-discharging treatment by an atmospheric pressure plasma treating apparatus 2, and then is coated with the mold release agent by a mold release agent applying device 6. By the plasma-discharging treatment, the adhesion between the mold release agent and the surface of the bladder 1 can be improved, so that the surface of the bladder 1 can be coated in high adhesion with the mold release agent, independently of the shape of the bladder surface.
