PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small lightweight suction nozzle giving sufficient rotation torque of a rotating cleaning body and easy to use due to the small longitudinal width of the part near the end thereof, and a vacuum cleaner using the same. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a rotating cleaning body 104, and an electric motor 105 to drive the rotating cleaner in a nozzle, and the electric motor is arranged nearly in the horizontal center of the nozzle, and a reduction pulley is arranged between a pulley 108 provided in the rotating shaft of the electric motor, and a pulley 114 provided at the end of the rotating cleaner.
