PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which enables a user to easily understand the meaning of imaging information displayed by an image display device different from an imaging device. SOLUTION: When displaying image data, an image browsing AP 503 displays the image data together with an icon representing imaging information of the image data. The displayed icon is the same or nearly the same icon as an icon displayed when the imaging device (for example, a digital camera 405) having picked up image data displays the image data on its liquid crystal display.
