PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for determining road that can correctly determine the traveling road of own vehicle. SOLUTION: A determination processing part 11 detects an intersection on a road that is below a high-level road, based on own vehicle positional information obtained from a GPS signal, and photographs a road of the intersection which is on the road below the high-level road or the high-level road in an upper intersection of a video camera 17. The determination processing part 11 determines whether the traveling road of own vehicle is a high-level road or a road below a high-level road, by comparing the length of a discontinuous part of a section line on the road with a prescribed threshold, based on image data representing photographed images.
