<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery with an electrolyte hardly decomposed even when an overvoltage of a positive electrode gets high during charging, in the lithium ion battery using an oxide-based positive active material. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium ion battery uses, as a positive active material, at least one out of Li<SB>1-x</SB>CoO<SB>2</SB>, Li<SB>1-x</SB>NiO<SB>2</SB>, Li<SB>1-x</SB>Mn<SB>2</SB>O<SB>4</SB>, 2-1-3 system lithium manganate and a complex component thereof, and Li<SB>1-x</SB>FePO<SB>4</SB>, Li<SB>1-x</SB>MnPO<SB>4</SB>, Li<SB>2-y</SB>FePO<SB>4</SB>F, Li<SB>2-y</SB>MnPO<SB>4</SB>F (x is number of 0 or more and 1 or less, y is number of 0 or more and 2 or less, and some of Co, Ni, Mn and Fe may doped with other metal including Li) and a complex component thereof. An organic solvent of the electrolyte contains: at least one nitrile compound selected from the group of a chain saturated hydrocarbon dinitrile compound in which a chain saturated hydrocarbon compound bonds a nitride group to each of terminals thereof, a chain ether nitrile compound in which a chain ether compound bonds a nitrile group to at least one of terminals thereof, and ester cyanoacetate; and at least one selected from the group of a cyclic carbonate, a cyclic carboxylate ester, and a chain carbonate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
