PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative address driving method of a plasma display panel for more efficiently and stably implementing ON/OFF selection and driving of a discharge cell of, especially, a PDP in a long-gap structure by reducing power consumption by supplying a negative voltage for address driving. SOLUTION: The negative address driving method of the plasma display panel according to the present invention is a driving method of a plasma display panel including a scan electrode, a sustain electrode, and a partition wall, and is characterized in that: while a positive scan pulse is applied to the scan electrode in an address section; a negative data pulse is applied to the address electrode corresponding to the positive scan pulse to perform addressing operation; and the gap between the scan electrode and sustain electrode disposed in the discharge cell sectioned by the partition wall is wider than the height of the partition wall.
