<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, capable of restraining a recording medium from being stuck to an intermediate transfer body at a secondary transfer part where a toner image is transferred from the intermediate transfer body to the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 is equipped with an image forming means 12 for transferring the toner image based on input image data to the intermediate transfer body 24; a conveying means 42 conveying the recording medium P; a transfer means 36 for transferring the toner image transferred to the intermediate transfer body 24 to the recording medium P conveyed by the conveying means 42; and a fixing means 40 for fixing the toner image transferred to the recording medium P by the transfer means 36.
