A door lock is provided to enable a user to find an exit at an emergency situation by illuminating a door at a constant brightness, when an indoor area is dark. A luminance sensor(20) is arranged on an inner plate and detects an indoor luminance. An IR sensor(26) is arranged on an outer plate and detects an IR ray from a human body. A microprocessor(22) receives a luminance detection signal from the luminance sensor, compares the luminance detection signal with reference luminance data, and outputs a light emitting control signal, when the detected luminance is lower than the reference luminance data. The microprocessor outputs the light emitting control signal, when the IR(InfraRed) ray from the human body is detected. An LED(Light Emitting Diode) driver(24) receives the light emitting control signal from the microprocessor and turns on an LED, which is embedded on one of inner and outer handles. An electronic keyboard(28) outputs a password or a password change signal to the microprocessor. A speaker(29) outputs different melodies, when a door is locked and released.
