PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head which is easy of positioning between a head chip and a wiring substrate and has a high positional precision. SOLUTION: The inkjet head includes the head chip and the wiring substrate. In the head chip, driving walls comprised of piezoelectric elements and channels are alternately arranged side by side, and the outlet and the inlet of a channel are arranged at a front face and a rear face, respectively. A connection electrode electrically connected to a driving electrode formed on the inner face of the channel is formed at the rear face. The wiring substrate is joined to the rear face of the head chip and has wiring electrodes arranged which are electrically connected to the connection electrodes. Dummy electrodes for positioning which do not contribute to driving are formed at each of a region where the wiring electrode is not formed on a jointing face of the wiring substrate and a region where the connection electrode is not formed on the rear face of the head chip. The dummy electrodes of the wiring substrate and the dummy electrodes of the head chip are fitted in each other in the inkjet head. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
