The gearbox has an integral differential, with an oil supply separate from that of the gears. The differential is located within a discrete housing and closure (1). An oil retainer (4) is located between the housing and closure (1). A differential breather (2) is incorporated in the closure (1). The oil retainer (4) forms a separation panel of the same diameter as the closure (1) between the differential wheel chamber (3) and an oil reservoir (5). The oil retainer (4) has a number of passages (7,9,11,14,25) for the differential oil. |
