PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing method and system for dynamically capturing user's interest in information at the time of presenting information by using a network, and introducing proper information according to the user's interest, and a storage medium for storing the program. SOLUTION: At the time of presenting information between an information provider' s device 1 and an information user's device 3 connected through a network, a user's attribute value obtained by digitizing user's interest is held in a user's attribute holding part 32 in the information user's device 3, and the information identifier of information to be displayed and the user's attribute value are transmitted to the provider device 1. Then, an information attribute value obtained by digitizing the content of information is held in an information attribute holding part 11 in the information provider's device 1, the information attribute value of the information identifier and the user's attribute value received from the information user's device 3 are alternately reflected and each value is updated, information is selected by using the updated information attribute value and user's attribute value, and the list of the selected information, information designated by the user, and user's attribute value are returned to the information user's device. |
